About Our Program
At Acentra Health (formerly Kepro) our goal is to build healthier communities in partnership with those we serve. On October 1, 2018, Acentra began administering needs assessments for individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism, including those in need of services in the state of Pennsylvania. The tool selected by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services Office of Developmental Programs (DHS-ODP) is the Supports Intensity Scale – Adult Version (SIS-ATM) published and owned by the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD).
The SIS-ATM focuses on the level of support needed by a person instead of evaluating deficits in skills. Acentra Health will perform the assessment to assess the support needs of individuals aged 14 and older, determine the intensity of the need and to monitor individual progress and evaluate outcomes over time.
Together, we aim to support Pennsylvanians with developmental disabilities and/or autism to achieve greater independence, choice and opportunity in their daily lives.
